For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29:11
Hey guys!
Welcome to today’s blog post. Today, I will be sharing with you some of the people, both near and far, who have had a contribution in one way or another, in helping and molding me to become the person I am today.
None of us are self-made and I know we live in a generation of ‘I got me, and don’t need nobody else’ but, one thing I have experienced first-hand, is that God is so faithful to bring along people in your way, especially when you least expect it! For you to progress and become all that He has created you to be.
At times when we are seeking direction and answers, God gives them directly to us, but at times, He gives them through other people. Since God can’t physically come down from heaven and be here with us, He prepares and ordains people to come in our way, at times just for a season, at times for a lifetime. I like to think that we are like His hands and feet, to express His love and nature to everyone around us.
I am going to share a number of people who, both near and far have inspired me tremendously in my life and purpose journey so far.
God, My family, friends, random strangers, mentors, leaders etc.
First off, shout out to God for creating me and placing me on this earth, it all starts with Him.
Secondly, my parents, mum and dad, wouldn’t be here without them.
Then, my siblings. I have 3 sisters. I love them and would give any of them my kidneys if need be, but I won’t get them a glass of water lol. (If you have siblings, you get this).
Then, the rest of my family, my aunties, uncles, cousins etc., who have been present in my life.
Then my friends, I’d say I’ve reached a place in my life so far, that I am grateful and believe I have solid friends, who draw me closer to God, challenge me, love and support me in ways they don’t even realize.
Then mentors, leaders, teachers and even random strangers I have encountered in my life. From when I was in kindergarten, all the way to campus, who have shaped me to become who I am today.
I would mention by name all the people in this list, but they are SO MANY and I don’t want to leave anyone out, y’all know yourselves :).
Now, this is a list of people who probably don’t know I exist, but have made a great impact :)
Heather Lindsey
Heather Lindsey is a Wife, Mom and Preacher of the gospel. I came across her social media pages around 2019, and really began to listen to her.
On her YouTube channel, she shared her story. She was adopted, grew up with over 20 siblings, and gave her life to Christ when she was 20. Shortly after, God instructed her to move to New York with no money, no job or connections. She had to start from scratch with nothing. She shares on how she was super broke, even getting evicted a number of times. She also shared on the day God gave her vision and insight on what He’s called her to do, which is to preach the gospel and many souls will come to Christ through her ministry. According to her story, she says that she was having a little ‘date’ with God. She made brownies, spaghetti and was watching a movie. God instructed her to take out her journal and she wrote, He broke down her life’s purpose for her, and when you look at her now, all that God said then has come to pass.
So, I remember listening to her story and being like, ‘ok, it must be really cool to know what God has called you to do, and have Him break everything down for you’ and I went about my business.
I think it was weeks later or maybe a month? I was at school, in the reading room, studying and I was taking a little break before I got back into it. At that time, I used to carry my journal everywhere, because I liked to jot down my thoughts. Then this happened,
God: ‘take out your journal’
Me: ‘okay’
God: *begins to break down my entire life for me*
Me: *begins to write down what He’s saying excitedly!*
Y’all after I was done, I was so excited that I just packed up my stuff and went back to my hostel, so I could just think, pray and write down everything in a more organized manner.
So, God didn’t exactly tell me in detail all that would be my life’s purpose, but He did give me an overview of what it would entail. I’m choosing not to share all that He showed me right now, but y’all will just have to stay tuned and see ;).
Our call as Christians is to go out into the world and make disciples (Matthew 28:19), that calling finds expressions in different ways, and not just being on a pulpit. It can be in being an entrepreneur, being a parent and whatever career God has set out for you.
Meanwhile, I continue to ponder, think and reflect on what God showed me that day. I am eternally grateful because it really really really harnessed my focus on what I ought to put my time, effort and investment in. It became easier to choose what I would put time in and even who I hang out with. It changed my perspective and how I approached life tremendously.
I appreciate Heather because I believe by her sharing her story fuels my faith to believe that what God says will indeed come to pass, it teaches me to obey Him even when it goes against logic and intellect and it causes me to trust Him, even though the current doesn’t look like what I think it’s supposed to look like, but He’s got my back, always.
Morgan Tracy J
Morgan is a Christian YouTube, blogger and founder of a ministry called His daughter’s closet.
In the future, I intend to make a post explaining in an in-depth manner, how and why I started blogging. Morgan has actually been every instrumental in that journey.
I think the first time I watched a video of her was something on ‘tips on how to have an effective quiet time with the Lord’, I thought she had such a sweet spirit. This was like in 2018. Well, last year when God began to lay this blog idea in my heart, I remembered that video and decided to watch more of her content. I was hooked immediately!
She covers an array of topics from Godliness, womanhood, beauty, fashion, lifestyle, self-care, food etc. She’s been a huge inspiration on my journey, particularly helping me explore with God on my creative process.
When God laid this blog idea in my heart, and was leading me to nurture my creativity, I wrestled with Him a lot, because I thought that me choosing to blog, create and nurture and show my gifts on social media would lead me further from Him, especially since I wasn’t a leader in ministry anymore.
But through Morgan, I saw that yes, being creative is a God-given gift and when we choose to nurture our gifts, we serve others and it gives God the glory.
Ruslan KD
Ruslan is a Christian YouTuber, Rapper, Producer, entrepreneur and owner of the record label/production company called Kings Dream entertainment. He’s also a husband and dad.
He’s super active on You Tube and mostly does reaction videos on emerging issues in culture through a Christian perspective, perceiving it and making a conclusion using the word of God as the basis of our knowledge.
I appreciate Ruslan, he’s been very instrumental in my faith journey, especially where I am at right now, whereby I am digging deep and getting a solid understanding on why I believe in what I believe in. His content and approach on these emerging issues, helps me to be more conscious on what is actually happening around me. To dig deeper on things, you know. We’re so caught up in labelling something as right or wrong, sinful and not sinful. How about we dig deeper, why is it right? Why is it wrong? What does the Bible say about it? Ok, if this issue isn’t clearly talked about in the Bible, how do we approach it? His content makes me think, and I think (lol) I grow a lot through what He shares.
Also, I admire his boldness, in that he’s not afraid to tackle topics that make most people feel weird and uncomfortable. It inspires me to practice the same in my personal life.
Sazan Hendrix
Sazan is a Christian YouTuber, blogger, entrepreneur, wife and mum. I came across her social media pages, a time like this last year.
What drew me to her? Well, by this time last year, I was more open to receive insight from God on this blog idea and she began her career from blogging and it was awesome to see how much she’s grown since she began.
Sazan was born in a Kurdish family. After finishing college, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in journalism and while there, she also met her now husband. When she was in LA, her intent was to be on radio/t.v since that was what she studied in college and wanted to pursue, but it didn’t work out, and the Lord instead, led her to focus on blogging. Her act of obedience is what propelled her to who she is and what she does now.
Since she grew up Kurdish, her family is predominantly Muslim. Upon learning of her becoming a Christian and even wanting to marry a Christian man, her family disowned her for some time but God still blessed her obedience but they’re now closer than ever.
Sazan has inspired me and I appreciate her. Through her story and journey, I have learnt that yes, blogging, you tubing and being creative, are avenues that God can call us to express His nature to other people. I’ve learnt to obey God, even when it costs us everything. We may lose family and friends, it may be for a season but when we choose to trust God, He will always take care of us and we will be ok. J And, maybe in the future He may allow us to reconcile with people we’ve fell out with and build stronger and more solid relationships.
Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord shall receive me

Natalia Kalinska
Lastly, Natalia.
I discovered Natalia a couple of months ago. She is a YouTuber and entrepreneur. She creates videos giving tips and actionable ideas to business-owners and content creators, helping them to improve the quality of their content and establish their online presence, so as to get more traffic, engagement and boost sales.
I took the whole of last month to sharpen my skills and learn more, in order to improve the quality of the content I share with you guys, and she’s one of the people I was watching a lot and learning a ton from.
So, most of the changes you see on the website and my socials, plus even my posts are things that I have taken to time to learn, and I am still sharpening my skills. J
If you’re interested in content creation, or if you have a platform or online business and want to improve the quality of what you bring to the table, she’s a great plug.
I am going to share links to the social media pages of the people I have mentioned, you can check them out of you want :)
These are just a few of the people who I have watched and followed, and they have been instrumental to some extent in helping me on my journey so far.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this post, thanks for reaching here if you have :),Remember, no man is an island, we all need help and it’s close to impossible to get further in life in our own strength and abilities. Not only do we need God's help, we also need people and God is so faithful to bring them to us. At times, we just need to ask Him to open up our eyes to see the people we have around us and how instrumental they have been on our journey or at times, YOU are that person to someone else.
Remember to like and share this post if you'd like to. Today, appreciate and be grateful to those who have helped you become who you are.
I’ll see you on the next one!
Xoxo.
BK.
