Last time I showed you great beauty and hygiene products for less than ks.1000. Today, I’ll show you some other great products for less than ksh.500!
Hello and welcome to yet another blog post. As we end this crazy year, it’s the festive season and I thought, hmm how about I share these great yet affordable products you can buy for yourself or your loved one for Christmas, or just because gifts are awesome? Well, here they are! Let’s jump right into it.
Luron Vanilla Spray
I stumbled upon this one by accident, but I am so glad I stumbled upon it. I am naturally drawn to scents such as vanilla, which is why I was so drawn to this particular spray. It doesn’t last all day, so you may need to spray it on a couple of times throughout your day. However, if you are looking for a sweet, simple, yet subtle scent, try this.
I got it from Carrefour for Ksh.310
Dove Intensive Cream Moisturizer
I have mentioned this moisturizer so many times, and I don’t think I will stop anytime soon! It’s moisturizing, suitable for all skin types, and super affordable. If you are usually stuck on which moisturizer to use on your skin, start here.
You can get this in literally any supermarket or beauty shop. It usually costs Ksh.175.
Nivea berry lip balm
I have also mentioned this one in the past, and it’s definitely one of my favorite products. It’s moisturizing for your lips, easy to apply, and gives your lips a cute, yet subtle light purple color. If you prefer to keep your makeup simple, or are going for a simple look that day, or your lips just need a little pick-me-up, I recommend this one.
You can get this for free if you purchase any Nivea lotion. You can also buy it on its own for Ksh. 340
Davis eyeliner pencil
When it comes to makeup, one of my favorite products apart from mascara is eyeliner/pencil. It adds some pizzazz and shape to your eyes. Your eyes literally become eye-catching lol. If you are just starting on using makeup, start with this one.
You can find this in shops along the CBD streets. I found this one in a shop near Bus Station.
This product is the most affordable on this list, Ksh. 30, only!
Luron Nail Polish
If you like to do your nails and make them have some more personality, then you probably like nail polish. Well, if you want to unleash your creativity, but not break the bank, then Luron nail polishes may be the best for you.
They apply easily, last long, and come in countless colors. Whether it’s colorless, plain black, deep red, or even glitter, you will not miss finding your favorite color among the endless variety available.
You can find them in most supermarkets. I got each for Ksh.130 from Carrefour.
Vaseline
This one is classic. I am sure most of us were smothered with Vaseline ever since we were young. Well, even as young adults, this one is still a beloved product, and I believe it is here to stay for the long haul. Vaseline has so many uses, just do a quick Google search and you will find so many articles showing you how to use this product It’s not only incredibly versatile but also affordable.
It comes in various sizes, with the smallest one going for Ksh. 75 And the biggest one is Ksh.500. I don’t think there’s any supermarket that doesn’t have Vaseline :).
Dove Bar Soap
This next product is a great beauty soap from one of my favorite brands in the world. I love it because it smells amazing, it’s moisturizing, easily available, and affordable. Plus, it is suitable for any skin type.
Make your showering sessions much more interesting with this soap.
It goes for Ksh.209, and you can find it in any supermarket.
Alison’s Rose Water
I used this product for many years as a toner for my skin, and it is amazing. Rose water is a simple, yet powerful product, that has a variety of uses. You can use it as a toner for your face, a body spray, or even a spray for your hair to keep it fresh and moisturized.
You can find this bottle in most supermarkets or beauty shops for Ksh.70
Garnier Sheet Masks
Last but not least, are sheet masks. I have mentioned before that I am a Garnier girl because I am in love with the majority of their products. Sheet masks are definitely on top of my list, and Garnier does not fail to deliver.
They have two types of sheet masks; the normal sheet masks and the ampoule sheet masks. The difference is that the ampoule is much more concentrated than the normal mask, and you only keep it on for 5 minutes, as opposed to the normal mask that you wear for 15 minutes.
Sheet masks can hydrate your skin, provide a great base for makeup application, or even calm irritated skin. For a greater cooling effect, ensure you pop it in your fridge for about half an hour, it will be so refreshing once it lands on your skin.
The sheet mask in the picture below is the ampoule type and goes for Ksh.375. You can find it in most supermarkets, especially Naivas or Carrefour.
All right, that’s all I have for today’s blog post. I hope you enjoyed this post and have some coins to spare to give yourself a nice yet affordable treat to end the year.
